Best Beauty Product of 2012
I've tried and tested beauty products more than the average mom. Some would think I don't have brand loyalty. Some would think I'm unethical for using competitor brands from the other. Here's what I say. How could you be objective in your product reviews if you never tried the other brand or competitor brand? How can you say that your brand is better than the other brand if you haven't even dared touch the other one you said wasn't good. Before you can say you are unbiased and objective you should have a point of comparison Compare facts by trying it personally and not just rely on reviews by others or your own personal bias of a product or company. Here are some makeup products from different brands that I believe needs proper recognition. Earthlingorgeous.com Best of 2012 Beauty Awards are highly recommended makeup/beauty products as tried by the author personally.

2013 Family and Kiddie Movies From 20th Century Fox
Most of us complain that the shows on TV now are full of violence and non-sense. There are a very few shows that are good for our kids. I think the best thing to do is to stock-up on educational shows and movies. Here is 20th Century Fox Family and Kiddie Movie Line-up For 2013 that you can watch with your kids and worry about it being pointless or violent. I'm looking forward to Percy Jackson 2, Parental Guidance , Life of a Pi and The Croods. Check out what movies would make you excited this coming year.

The Most Influential Person In The World.
Coming from a standpoint of a single mom. I personally believe that mom play the most important role in keeping the family intact or tear it apart. Moms are the key influencers in the household. They decide which soap and shampoo brand the family will use. They decide what can stay and what can not in the homes they keep. They also influence what a child thinks of the world and everything around it. They are the most influential person in the world and you should not mess with them or else.
If you want to have a good image you have to make sure that you make moms happy. Or at least have a pleasant experience with their encounter with you or your brands.
An unhappy mom can break your brand especially if they are under a lot of stress in their personal lives and are struggling of some personal issues.
A good way to keep them happy is to give them the pampering they need every once in awhile. Take them to a beauty or fashion shopping spree or take them to a very relaxing treatment at a spa. A mom who is often complaining lower back pains or muscle pain needs a good massage or a Stockton chiropractor as her bones may need realignment from all the house chores she does.
Remember, a happy mom will make a happy home. If you want a happy family make the moms happiest of all!

Camay Is Back In Manila
It was the beauty soap our moms used when we were little girls. We love the scent and secretly it was a part of our childhood memories when we used to imitate whatever mom does and use whatever she uses. I think all litle girls go throuh this phase of wanting to become like their moms. When Camay stopped manufacturing here in the Philippines I was saddened. It was because of this sentimental thought. So when I witnessed the Camay Beauty Bar Relaunch In Manila I was mega ecstatic. The novelty feeling of having used that beauty bar soap in my childhood just bring happy thoughts and feelings.
I was talking to Procter and Gamble Country Communications Manager Clint Navales about the reason behind the relaunching Camay. He said it was the right time for them to come out with a soap line that mainly focuses on scent and fragrances.
"We already have soap for germicidal, that's Safeguard. We already have a soap for moisturizing, that's Olay. So why not launch a soap that is all about scent? That's when we decided we should bring Camay back!" Mr. Navales said.
Well, I think the timing is great! With the retro fever creeping in everywhere. Vintage is totally in. Considering the reputation and how long this iconic beauty bar soap has been known worldwide even before I was born, Camay is definitely vintage and very much in!

Things I Learn From My Daughter Everyday
It is not true that we can't learn anything from our kids. In fact, there are a dozen of things we can learn from them everyday. Just what I learned from my daughter when she played with My Pink Lipstick last week. Instead of getting mad at her for playing with mommy things she made me smile and realize so many things in life life.
All I can say now is that my daughter really loves that pink lipstick from Maybelline and now she wears it everyday since then. Well, I don't mind I got a lot of lipstick to spare and as long as she doesn't break it I'll let her use it as much as she please.

Recovering From An Addiction
People who suffer from drug and alcohol or any type of addiction do not admit to themselves or to other people that they have a problem. It will take courage and a lot of guts and drive as well for someone who has an addiction to admit this and to actually seek help. It will also take another person who really care for this person to point it out to him that he needs to do something about his problems.
At Morningside Recovery people who are having such problem can go there and have a fast recovery so they can make their life back in shape again. You can check-out their website and browse for the type of addiction you or a loved one is having and find an appropriate care and rehabilitation and recovery program. They have 30,60,and 90 day program and they give it at a special rate.
All their staff are professional and well trained and the venue is very secluded and private and very conducive for fast recovery. I wonder what was that Gay and Lesbian program all about though. They can also help with depression by the way.

What To Consider In Having An Online Store
Are you an online seller? Do you have your own online store or are you using the free social media platforms to market your goods or close a deal? While it is practical and you can target a lot of customers by using the most common social media platform available your business will look more professional and reliable if you set up your own online store where you can close a deal and keep real customers up close and with personal contacts at your own website . By doing so keeping track of past transactions is much easier.
I found this really nice online store software you can use in setting up your own space online for your merchandise or goods. Setting up is as easy as 1,2,3 all you need to do is sign-up, pay the fee according to your needs and viola they can set up your professional online store for you hassle free. Of course you have the freedom to choose what design to use, and how everything will look like.

Package starts at $35.00 and can go as high as $299.00 a month. So make sure to pick the right package according to your needs and how saleable online your products are because if they are not that in-demand it is better to use the free platforms. Problem with the free platforms though you will have to reveal your bank details and other pertinent info about you to all customers or even those who are just inquiring which is not so secure. While with your own selling platform you can use the secured payment options so both seller and buyer are protected.
Another thing to consider in setting up a paid selling site is the transaction fee. Most paid site will be asking for such.
So, are you ready to set up your own online store?

Licensure/ Board Exam for Aspiring Makeup Hair Stylist Etc?
I bet most of you go to a salon to have your hair, nails, or makeup done. But how 100% sure are you that the person doing your hair, nails and makeup is truly trained and certified or much better have the license to do such? Have you ever experience your toenails hurting really bad because of a newbie so-called "nail-technician" who did your pedicure? Were you able to get the justice you needed for your murdered nails or just shun it away and swore never to go back to that salon ever again. Wouldn't it be nice if they get a license to practice the said profession? What do you think of having board examination for those who are in the hair and beauty practice? Keep Mosquitoes at Bay During the Rainy Season
By now, you’ve lived in the tropics long enough to realize that between the shifting seasons and humidity, insects are another force to be reckoned with. It’s easy enough to deal with—just slather on some insect repellent and you can keep mosquitoes at bay throughout the day.
Is it however, safe for children? It’s a question that parents carefully consider, particularly when the rainy season rolls around and the need to prevent bites from mosquitoes and other insects rises.
While most are all too eager to use insect repellents on themselves, most do not realize that doing the same for younger children—who probably would benefit from them the most—can go a long way in preventing allergic reactions from insect bites and insect-borne diseases such as Dengue.
And while using insect repellents seem simple enough, it would be best to follow these brief guidelines to make sure that you and your kids are safe.

Beware of Toxic School Supplies
School Year 2012 is about to begin. I'm sure most of you mommies out there are now in a rush to buy school supplies after enrolling your kiddo to school.
Before getting all excited and crazy buying inexpensive school supplies or buying the most expensive one's make sure you don't get something that will be detrimental to the health of our children. Just today, the ECOWASTE Movement announced some school supplies they found with high levels of led or phthalates above the allowable/ safe limit are the following:
1. A “Dora the Explorer” pink PVC raincoat bought from National Book Store (SM North EDSA) had 35.86% DINP.
2. A metal ruler with a rubberized part containing “Smileys” from National Book Store (NBS Superstore, Cubao) had 0.534% DNOP and 0.285% DINP.
3. A red PVC plastic envelope with images of “Angry Birds” from Expressions (Isetann Mall, Quiapo) had 1.89% DINP, 2.21% DEHP and 2.86% DIDP.
4. A “Princess Mica” PVC lunch bag bought from Expressions (Isetann Mall, Quiapo) had 2.57% DEHP, 0.280% DBP and 0.189% DINP.
The five samples sent to the laboratory were also screened for lead using an XRF spectrometer and lead over the 90 ppm limit was found in three samples: the “Smileys” in the ruler, the painted “Angry Birds” in the red plastic envelope and the ellipsis design in the “Adventurer” plastic envelope.
Because of their adverse health effects, especially to young children, the European Union, the United States of America and other countries have imposed restrictions or bans on some phthalates, including BBP, DBP DEHP, DIDP, DINP and DNOP.
While the Philippines has not phased out or banned phthalates, the Food and Drug Administration (formerly Bureau of Food and Drugs) as early as 1999 has issued a warning on health hazards caused by phthalates in PVC toys “as these have been found to leach out from the toys when they are sucked or chewed as commonly practiced by children.”
Be careful in buying raincoats as well as they found a number of those being sold out with high phthalates.

An Open Letter To My Mama On Mother's Day
I know you can't read it because it's online, I also did not greet you on Facebook because you don't have an account there either. I am printing this open letter for you so you can read it as well, because it is meant for you and for the whole world to see (so its online).
Anyway, before anything else I would like to greet you a Happy Mother's Day.
I know we disagree a lot, we fight like in a brawl and almost want to choke each other's throat. We scream at the top of our lungs and then at the end of the day when we are calmed we would say sorries and tell each other we love each other. You also knew you were the one who thought me that I should answer back/ fight back (alam na alam mo yan!) Because before I would just take in everything, keep quiet and sit on the corner of my bed and cry. I know sometimes I hurt you with the hurtful words I say, I didn't mean them. They are just words of an angry/hurt person who wants to hurt back.
You are the best mom ever and I can't think of having any other mother in the world but you. You are perfectly imperfect and I love you for that.
You are always there for me whenever I needed someone . I hope you can feel that I love even if you think I don't and that I neglect everything you do for me, for us. Tasha practically grew-up with you. Without you there for me I don't know where would I be , where we will be right now. I don't even think it will be possible for me to reach whatever I achieved now without you supporting me all the way. Thank you Mama for everything.
Here are just a few of the things I am Thankful for because you are my Mama!

Should Transgenders Be Allowed In Beauty Pageants Made For Natural Born Women?
In my humble opinion, transgenders should not be allowed in beauty pageants made for natural born women. I'd rather have Mr. Donald Trump create a different beauty pageant for transgenders than allow this now.
Just because there was a loophole in the past rules of the pageant and that this is the popular choice, allowing the transgender in the pageant makes it the right decision, as Ms. Miriam Quiambao, former Ms. Universe runner-up said.
Also, its not because there are a lot of beauty pageant contestants who have gone through plastic surgery like bust lift, nose lift, tummy tuck, butt enhancement, liposuction, lip enhancement, cheek enhancement, and other means to enhance their beauty. They are still natural women in every essence of the word. All they did was enhance what was given to them the day they were born and not a complete turn from what they are to something they are really not. Going through a knife doesn't make one real we call enhanced boobs fake, we call enhanced nose fake, we call enhanced butt fake. So what shall we call transgenders who went into a dozen or more surgery just to achieve a form of a woman. A fake woman.
Natural born women have wombs and have the capacity to give birth. They have the capacity to become mothers to children that rared. They have natural mother instincts and women's instinct something fake women will never ever have or experience. Science may cheat the process but we all know the truth.
I have nothing against transgenders but we should always respect other people and know our boundaries.

Vitamin Rich Foods
As a mom, you’re usually not only interested in vitamins for your own benefit – you’re also worried about your kids, such as if they’re getting enough nutrition from their daily diet. With little ones, it can be hard to convince them to eat anything not shaped like a nugget and older kids have greater independence and the ability to purchase unhealthy foods on their own. Cookbooks tend to focus on whether food tastes good, but not the effects that the food will have on your body. With this in mind, we’ve put together this list of vitamins and some vitamin-rich foods that you may actually convince your family to eat:
- Vitamin D – Nutrition schools have long known the importance of vitamin d, but only recently has this vitamin been getting attention in the mainstream media. Vitamin D, as you may already know, is important for synthesizing calcium and for regulating cell health. This vitamin is fat soluble, so foods containing vitamin D are best prepared in ways that utilize a little fat. Salmon steaks, hamburgers or sandwiches are a great source of vitamin D; egg yolks also contain the vitamin and, luckily, scrambled eggs are always easy to make in a pinch. Fortified milk and juices also contain vitamin D.
- Vitamin E – This vitamin is an antioxidant which keeps free radicals from attacking your cell membranes. It is speculated that antioxidants are key in fending off diseases of aging, such as cancer. Nuts, including sunflower seeds, brazil nuts, and fresh almonds, are all good sources of vitamin E and can make a great on-the-go snack when tossed in a resealable plastic bag. Sweet potatoes, baked with a little butter and brown sugar, are another easy way to incorporate vitamin E into your diet.
- Vitamin C – Vitamin C is an all-around great vitamin to have in your body. It’s vital to the formation of muscle, acts as an antioxidant, and is speculated to boost the body’s immune system. Be aware that vitamin C is best consumed in foods that are fresh; the vitamin C content decreases the more you process or cook foods. All types of citrus and citrus juice, including orange, lemon, and grapefruit, are good sources of vitamin C. In fruits, peaches, cantaloupe, tangerines, bananas, and raspberries are also high in vitamin C.
- Calcium – For bone development, calcium is key. It’s also important for muscle performance and for our nerves. While milk is the main source of calcium for many Americans, it’s certainly not the only source of this nutritional vitamin. Try incorporating a few dark, leafy greens into your routine; kale, collards and broccoli are all good choices. All are delicious in quick stir fries with a few other veggies, meat and a little light soy sauce.

Mob Busts in New York
I'm glad that I haven't met a mob family in my entire life and wish not to meet any at all. I particularly don't know how mobs work but in the US they are able to compile data regarding the numbers and names of the mobs they busted in the recent years. Pretty interesting details I think you might find interesting.
Alcohol Use
My mother has been suffering from what seems to be gout or ar thritist. Its hard to tell which because when she take medicines meant for relieving arthritist pains she gets better. Don't get me wrong she is not self-medicating or sorts, we took her to a specialist already and this doctor restricted my mom from eating almost everything she likes and we were left with very limited food choices for her
Anyway, while doing a research about which food she can eat and which she could not, we bumped intpo an information that alcohol is good for people suffering from gout or arthritist.
My mom barely drinks so I don't see her wanting to start now. I think she is one of the 50% who never had a drink. Here are the statistics found by infographics regarding
alcohol use.

This is a sad generation
I feel sad for this generation because of the unsafe feeling they have to encounter everyday of their lives wherever they are. Back in my generation, I can go out and pkay with the kids in my neighborhood with me and my parents feeling safe. I socialize for real and not just online. I don't have to worry about online stalkers and strangers getting easy access on my personal details because we didn't have computers back then. I play real games with real interaction with other kids. We run for real, play hide and seek, conquer an opponents base for real, climb real trees, race bikes for real. We get real dirty in the mud , roll in the grass, get wet in the rain. This generation, experience these things online, in virtual reality, which is really really sad.
I wonder what our generation can do for this generation to get them out if their virtual life? Any suggestions?
